Extension Africa is on a mission to create a reliable agribusiness extension system for African farmers.

Our "Why"

Africa is uniquely positioned to meet the challenge of feeding itself and the world, and spur economic growth. However, this potential is still met by a declining efficiency in production by rural farmers. The link to these farmers is still weak and innovations are barely adopted. This creates an urgency for an efficient system to deliver life-saving innovations to the last mile.

We are creating reliable and efficient channels to connect rural farmers to Global Supply Chains.

It all started with a passion to make farming a sustainable & inclusive business

A sustainable system starts with a win-win solution for all. We strengthen agricultural extension and advisory service delivery by creating an active network of business advisory agents who also serve as aggregators, farm/farmer managers, farm inputs suppliers and tractor services providers.
This creates a paradigm shift towards Agribusiness Extension through an activity-based service delivery that ensures agents earn higher as the size of their farmers and services offered to these farmers increases.
We call our extension agents “Farmer Business Associates” for a reason! Our associates are selected from the farming communities, are tech-driven, trained on the best agronomic and business practices, and have a deep understanding of the local context.
Today, we are known with a reliable extension system in the industry.

Tajudeen Yahaya

MD/Co-founder

Tajudeen is a Bachelor of technology (B.Tech) graduate in Animal Production (2014) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is an Agribusiness expert with about a decade experience in the agribusiness industry and the development sector. He is a Certified Project Manager with an MBA in Agribusiness Management from Dangote Business School. He specializes in competitive value chain development.

Co-founder

Abdulsamad is a Bachelor of technology (B.Tech) graduate in Agricultural Economics and Extension (2014) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is an agricultural economist dedicated to poverty alleviation, food security, rural and agricultural development. He is a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning consultant and agricultural economist for ABT associate Inc., IAR and TechnoServe. He is a fellow at Nigeria Association of Evaluators and member of the Africa association of evaluators
