As reported by CTA, data for Agriculture is expected to increase agricultural production and productivity, help farmers adapt to or mitigate the effects of climate change, and bring about more economic and efficient use of natural resources. But if smallholder farmers are to truly benefit from the data revolution and open datasets, increased access to comprehensible information through targeted and context-specific services will be necessary.
